I read "Israel must be destroyed" and stopped to think about what that means, and ultimately decided it doesn't mean "razed to the ground", but that the current Israel is so toxic and corrupt that the only way to change it would be to start over from scratch. Kind of how I'm feeling about the USA right now!

What I would personally like is a world where Israel stops taking Palestinian homes, gives back the territory they've stolen, approves of their autonomy, treats them like human beings, and the current leadership is dismantled, the criminals sentenced, and a new peaceful and tolerant government put in its place.

In that sense, yes, I guess that is the destruction of Israel. Certainly a much different one than there is now.

 

On the one hand I’d be frustrated by the fact that such a simple and non-confrontational speech would let some heat off Dems/allow them to pat themselves on the back, but also it is as infuriating as it is illuminating that just her mere presence is something the leaders of this party cannot abide.
