8 episodes is probably fine if you’re getting 45-60 min episodes but I feel like the runtime on these were really short. Need a better balance of streamlining the story, episode length, and number of episodes.

hate to always bring it back to Andor, but as the best live action Star Wars show we have (in my opinion), I felt like they were able to thread that needle perfectly.

 

The andor / animation framework of proper arcs would be killer.

I remember when I said it likely wouldn’t, and everyone in here acted like I was crazy for saying that.

Bummer because I do think a season 2 had potential.

The potential of a season 2 had me much more excited than season 1 ever made me.

Wonder if there would have been a better cut of these 8 episodes that would resonate more with a broader audience. Feel like the story was really good but maybe the people just want skywalker saga and mandoverse stuff.

 

The story was the weakest part of the season.

 

at least we have some books in the pipeline. hopefully they pull a Dark Disciple and take some of those ideas for S2 and put them to paper.

 

I say continue it as an animated series

afraid this causes Lucasfilm to double-down on more New Republic content, which we have plenty of at the moment.

Everyone is blaming Disney listening to the toxic fans for this, but really this is likely because insane budget.

 

Pretty sad about this one since I was really hoping it set up for a great second season. Budget was insane for the viewership numbers they were getting
