Korn has had a bit of resurgence lately because of TikTok and also having great support helps.

Yeah I got to hand it to Korn from going from a band you could easily get a $20 lawn ticket for day-of to a band with $75+ lawn resale months in advance in a matter of one tour cycle

Korn's resurgence is the real deal. Last time I checked in with them was 2010 at the now defunct Roseland Ballroom in NYC. It was 3500 capacity and was, theoretically, supposed to be an underplay but i think they sold it out like...maybe a week in advance if that.

Supposed to be at the first of two final NOFX shows in Toronto right now, but it’s been storming all day and supposed to stay this way most of the day and into tomorrow as well. Not looking good. Really hope they reschedule if today/this weekend can’t happen

Soupy from TWY posted something similar on his Instagram story a while back in regards to the TWY/Menzingers tour. Said something along the lines of "Just to be clear, we're playing every date on this tour. I'm done playing this game." Lmao

Some shenanigans going on at 30STM tonight. Doors opened 10 min late, Kennyhoopla went on 30 min late and only played 15 min (5 songs instead of the 8 he’s been playing). That combined with the fact that, as previously reported, the PA is playing 30STm in between sets….AFI really needs to save the day (and hopefully their set doesn’t get cut short).

I got a last-minute invite to see 311 tonight. I’ve heard of Awolnation but never heard their music before. God, this is awful. And this crowd is eating it up.

    One giant shitshow.

It was sold out so everyone said to get there early so I got there 30 minutes ahead of gates time and people were talking about a storm that was coming. Finger Eleven was scheduled for 7:00 but they didn't go on and at 7:05 the stage crew came and took apart the stage. Turns out they just cancelled their set without even announcing it to anyone. Apparently they wanted 3DD to go on earlier so they could finish earlier because of the oncoming storm. 3DD started 15 minutes earlier and after 4 songs their singer said they have to get off because the storm was coming and then some guy came and told everyone to shelter in place. The stage crew started setting up for Creed and after about 15 minutes the gates of hell opened up and it rained like crazy (along with non-stop lightning), to the point that there was no one in the venue that wasn't soaking wet, even the people in the pavilion. There were people with lawn tickets who tried getting into the pavilion to take cover from the storm but the security staff formed a human chain to prevent them from getting in and taking cover which was INSANE. After 2-3 minutes of things almost getting very physical they let them to take shelter and then I noticed that the crew started taking apart the stage again and other staff were taking out all the equipment to the trucks. At that point it was 8:30, Creed were supposed to go on at 9:15, the forecast was showing that the storm was still supposed to go for 2 more hours and at that point I was there for 4 hours and only saw 4 songs. I asked 2 separate staff members what's going on and both said that it is "almost certainly cancelled". I took the chance and GTFO, running to my car through the storm. It was raining so bad that it took me like 2-3 minutes just to find the car because my glasses were so wet. I was SOAKED.

I got into my car, drove out of there SLOWLY and went to see Amber Pacific instead, they were playing at a small venue that was on my way home. Later that night I heard that Creed actually went on and did a shorter set. A bunch of people on Instagram are saying that they were told by staff members that the show was cancelled so they went home. The venue replied to all of them that they need to send an email so I sent one as well.

At least Maber Pacific were great but getting shafted on a real expensive ticket still stings. Hopefully I can get some kind of a refund but it's Live Nation so I'm not holding my hopes up.

Thanks for asking, how was your night?

You can probably guess the ego of the headliners of an arena/stadium tour by if they allow the opening acts to use the catwalk (if there is one). I saw Green Day and Foo Fighters both play their own shows at Citi Field recently and all acts werre allowed to use the catwalk. On top of that, both openers and headliners thanked each other and said how happy they were to be out on tour. Not ONE act opening said "hey we're really appreciate of 30 Seconds To Mars taking us out" and Jared Leto sure as shit never gave any props to the openers (unless he did after the last song as I'd left).

As for the show, I received an email this week from Ticketmaster saying the event time had moved from 6:30 to 6. I live close to Barclays so not a big deal but still had to hustle over there to get to the event for a 6pm start time as I wanted to see Kennyhoopla. Doors opened, oddly, about 10 minutes late and Kennyhoopla didn't end up going on until 6:30 playing 15 min. Poppy, I think went on 5 min later and cut one song. AFI and 30STM had their standard set times. The three openers will all good with AFI, as always, being super tight and professional (Davey shouted out his dad). Surprising to me, VERY few people up front were into and/or at least were familiar with AFI aside form the few fans shouting along. I'm also continuously amazed by people who drink the 30STM/Jared Leto kool aid. I totally stump for the 00's era 30STM stuff and the last 3 records have their moment but it's just wild to me that an arena act is basically glorified karaoke at this point and I can even hear the back track going because Jared can't hit those notes. He does make a point to personalize the shows and bring people up on stage (couple even got engaged to tonight) but, still, just so wild that his ego and celeb status continues to allow his band likely get big guarantees for rooms they can barely even half fill.

Man what a day. Hope you managed to get in for NOFX. We took cover in the Farmers Market for a lot of the early afternoon but standing in line around 4-6pm was brutal. Was hoping the Interrupters would be added to today's lineup but they posted something on their IG along the lines of "see ya next time" so seems unlikely.

Oh man, I can imagine. We hung out at my friend’s apartment about 10 minutes away from noon-5pm waiting for an update, and when we got back there around 5:45 the line was probably a mile and a half long. We didn’t think there was any way we were making it in for NOFX’s set, but they definitely stopped scanning tickets and Fat Mike was standing by the fence telling people to just go on in lol

What a crazy day all around. Bummed about The Interrupters also, and I really wanted to see The Suicide Machines, but it is what it is. If you’re going today, hope it goes smoother and have fun! One and done for me unfortunately.

It seems like this summer, more than usual there’s been a lot of shows with bad weather issues? Idk if that’s standard and I just never noticed until recently, but it seems like this summer it’s been awful

It’s a perfect day for letting go... Supporter

I went to see slowdive outside in Asheville, NC. Had an incredible experience. Got to see 3/4 of the show, lightning break for 45 minutes where I got to go to a brewery and have one beer then walk back and see the rest of the show. Perfect night
