I left Twitter and after a little bit, it just kinda disappears. I’m on threads. But I don’t ever look at it.

Witnessed some great shithousery from my local team in Europe conference league qualifying round. Opposition team much better with 80% possession. 1-0 they were up in first round leg at our home ground.

they then decide to time waste the last ten minutes. Kicked the ball out for a player with “cramp”. Guy got up no bother. We get our long throw specialist to throw the ball into attacking zone with zero attempt to give them ball back. We score 30 seconds later haha.

We are just happy to have euro football for first time in 40 years. Now there is a twitter war between us and Norwegian fans as much as twitter is a bit of a cesspit now, the banter has been incredible to be honest.

St. Mirren, right? This is what I love about the Conference League. Would have never pictured them in a European competition any time soon. My local team is taking a 1-0 lead to Azerbaijan for the next leg. Gonna be tough, but Jesus it would be amazing if they got through to the play off round.

Are Chelsea in it next year? That could be interesting to watch Mudryk and co fail to win against the 4th best tram from Slovenia.

    hmmm

It's not to do with Liverpool. I realised in the middle of last season, when we were in the title race, that I didn't care if we won or lost, or even worse that I'd rather we didn't win because I'd feel left out of the excitement. That childlike thirst for your team to succeed has disappeared over time for me, and I feel completely detached from it. Everything around football, the money, the corruption, the constant white noise of the discourse, the short termism, the pissing about with rules and VAR, the overhype and overreactions; it's all exhausted me. And now so many matches I start watching and realise after 20 minutes I've been paying no attention.

The first time I looked up preseason results was a few days ago. I hadn't watched any of it, didn't know if we'd signed anyone, didn't care. I've heard 30 seconds of Arne Slot talking. If Pep Guardiola had taken over I'd be the same. It all tires me. I'll look up results, watch some highlights, keep track of some players for FPL. But I need a break from it otherwise.

This year! Season starts today with the most prestigious (I reserve the right to edit this comment in 5 hours time) trophy in England!

but yeah they’re in the playoff round. They’re playing Braga or Servette.

A midfielder now and I’m fairly happy with the summer. Not sold on Maz but he is a lot better in possession than AWB and can fill in on the left. De Ligt and Yoro in addition will allow our defence to step up higher off the ball which will hopefully reduce the amount of space that we leave in midfield.

    Correcto!

I take your not going to the away leg haha?

If we get through we actually would have a decent path to the group stage. I actually could not believe the impact on our finances if we got that far. I can dream. Next round is a romanian or Kazakstan team.

The norwegian team we are playing are interesting. They sold a stand off and now debt free apparently.

That de ligt fee is so light. Already disappointed to lose him and the numbers don’t make me feel any better about it. Don’t like losing Maz either, but he was never really given a consistent opportunity.

Interested in seeing how Amad and Bobb fair. Both will be looking to stake a claim ahead of the new season.

Amad is more than likely first choice for the first few games at least. Similar to Garnacho last season

Haven't watched any of the preseason matches and have been wondering if/how McAtee would fit back in the squad. Been pleasantly surprised and can see how particularly with Alvarez leaving.
