We all know the EVP titles are mostly meaningless lol

 

And they can’t even run a Target so he’s not gonna be able to book himself like Reigns gets booked/presented

 

Kenny has been booked like that but not in AEW. I also think a lot of it comes down to his body when he comes back from injury.

He took a lot of years off of his career doing what he did for New Japan.

 

Kenny’s AEW run has also felt like he’s wanted to put other talent over at the expense of himself when he is healthy too. He’s never seemed like he wanted to be the #1 guy. Which yeah, has a lot to do with him not able to stay healthy anymore.

That NJPW run, as incredible as it was, took a lot of years and time off his career unfortunately.

 

if kenny omega was able to book himself to be roman reigns, there would be a million morons who would cry

even though he DESERVES to be presented that way ten times over

 

The Omega feuds always seemed on a different path & on a higher level than the AEW title since he returned in 2022. It’s probably what he wanted to do since you can keep him on a high pedestal & eventually have a collision course with AEW champ but he had to be wrapped in KT tape like a mummy to wrestle any match the past year so it’s easier said than done.

 

I actually assume this will be the central arc of the Casino Gauntlet match (maybe the first 2 entrants?), dont think they get their own match. Definitely think that Trios match is gonna be a triple threat though, and hopefully a gimmick match of some sort (Ladder?). That'll be the chaotic multi-man match instead of Anarchy I suspect.

 

King Fuego would be HIGH on the list with Alba Fyre and Katana Chance in "fucking up a cool name".

EVP titles havent mattered since Cody walked; and even then it seemed like he was the only one who got to book his own stuff.

Andrade/Santos was great

 

It’s very top heavy with a thin midcard while Raw has a few stars & a lot of upper midcarders. I think they realized it needs to be that way because Raw’s an hour longer but they base the show around two angles & kill the rest of the time with recaps & maybe a couple matches. The women’s division is also kind of gutted because Bianca’s not really doing anything.
