If you start at 9 and go backwards, you have some amazing games to experience. That is why a lot of people aren't into the most recent ones, because they have experienced the best! You owe it to yourself to play 4,5,6,7 and 9.

I'm excited for FFXV.

My first was FFVIII. Played all but the 2 MMOs. the XIII series was OK. Liked some stuff, but it didn't resonate with me as much as some of the older titles. Beautiful looking though.

 

My first was VIII as well, then back to VI, then X. (Played those simultaneously but that's how I started them) I'm in the small camp of people who started with those and also love XIII hahaha. Very excited for XV.

Also XIV is a great MMO and I still recommend it even though I don't have as much time for it as I'd like.

 

My first FF game was either 2 or 3. I LOVED the game despite not really grasping a lot of what was going on at that age. VII was the first one that I was really able to appreciate for story/difficulty. IX was the first one that I truly loved in every capacity. Growing up, the summons were always the biggest draw to me.

This is still my favorite scene in video game history.

 

X was my first, and I went backwards from there. X will probably always be my favorite, that story was just incredible to me when I was younger, and to this day I still love it. VIII is great, even though the combat can be broken very early on and you can easily become overpowered. I never really gave XII a chance, so I'm excited to try it out when the remaster coming out.

 

I have a lame FFX tattoo and want a lame FFVI tattoo

FFXIV has Triple Triad now not sure if it did when you last played

 

I will on lunch break no service at work and don't wanna awkwardly take a picture of it

 

My first was IV back when it was released as FFII on SNES, and I loved it and played every one from there on. I've found something to like in every entry, but FFXIII didn't quite grab me as much as the rest (and came out while I was super busy in college) so I fell off and never really had an interest in going further with the sequels.

Besides XIII, XII is the only one I never beat more than once and I can't wait to revisit it next year.

 

It did not. I haven't played for about three years now.

 

TRIPLE TRIAD GOAT MINIGAME

 

Yeah they added in the Gold Saucer which brought in Triple Triad, chocobo racing, a dumb minion game, other mini games

 

I still want to get a FFX tattoo

 

FFRK and Mobius FF are two mobile games I've spent a LOT of time on besides Hearthstone.

 

How is Mobius? I played FFRK for a while but got tired of accidentally missing events hahaha. Is it similar combat format or different?

 

Looking back at all of the things that made FFIX great makes me want to download an emulator to play at work.

- Beatrix is my favorite character in the entire series
- Petrified forest was awesome. Easily the best start to an FF game.
- Chocobo mini-game was so much fun to solve.
- Trance was strange/awesome.
- Kuja was an awesome villain.
- FUCKING VIVI AND THE BLACK MAGES. OMG.
- Freya's hometown.
- The card game.
- Dagger was an amazing protagonist. Everything about her leaving was perfect.
- The summons. Holy shit.
- Eiko
- The Odin sidequest rules so hard.

The only complaint I have is that Amarant and Quina suck pretty bad.

 

Also I recommend every human being alive go to Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy at least once before you die

 

X was my first, but I never was able to beat the last boss. Then I went to the XIII trilogy, then VII and VIII. Working on IX now and wanna replay X to finally beat the whole thing, and then go back to pre-VII. All in between when I'm playing XV

 

All spoilered for any still playing even though they're probably unnecessary

Favorite moments:
1. FFVIII: The beginning of Rinoa's space scene
2. FFX: The destruction of Home
3. FFVI: The Opera of Maria & Draco
4. FFIX: Henry already nailed it
5. FFX: Pre-battle interaction between Tidus and Jecht
Favorite boss fights:
1. FFX: Yunalesca
2. FFXIV: Thordan and the Knights of the Round (Extreme)
3. FFVI: Final battle with Kefka
4. FFX: Seymour III
5. FFXIV: Nael Deus Darnus (Savage)

 

Ugh I wanna playthrough X cause I never have but I just don't know how to go about it without purchasing a used PS2
