4 months ago I walked right up to the rail 10 minutes before her set at Coachella in a small tent

 

I can’t think of another artist who booked a tour playing appropriately sized venues and then outgrew the venues to such a degree that Chappell has while on tour…ever?

 

Billie’s 2019 tour kind of went similarly? This seems bigger though.

 

Still my biggest concert regret to date. I was offered a ticket to her club tour in 2018, wasn't a fan at the time (till roughly one month later), and then she blew up. I still think about that a lot.

 

Billie is probably the closest example, but yeah this feels bigger.

 

Lady Gaga is the closest example I can remember, but this feels different in so many ways

 

Lizzo is a parallel but even for her she opened for Haim, played those same venues as a solo act and did arenas in consecutive tours

 

Not exactly the same, but I remember Cardi B way overfilling her Coachella set after bowling up that year. The crowd was insane

 

My brain is drawing comparisons to Arctic Monkeys regarding Chappell Roan's explosion in popularity for whatever reason. Probably because I'm a big Arctic Monkeys fan lol.
