Can't believe I didn't think of this one for this round

Results are wild so far, even the choice someone beat me to isn't doing as well as I expected and I really thought that was a ringer.

 

I thought mine was good and obvious and it’s not doing poorly but I did expect to be higher up!

Whoever posted Meryl Streak, I think you'd really dig this album based on your writeup. I checked it out because Justin from Motion City Soundtrack loves them. Killer album, absolutely would fit this week's theme

 

There seems to be a mistake. I've seen the votes and mine isn't doing well. I'd like a recount.

Fun fact, these guys are in Fort Collins and I’m friends with the drummer Shane. They just recorded their second album at The Blasting Room!

 

Ha! That's awesome, the album is so unique, never heard anything like it. Very cool stuff

 

Dude I really really wanna know what people are saying ..... Short Skirt Long Jacket is a stone cold CLASSIC!!!


Also - really happy with how people in this crew seem to enjoy Nada Surf! 2 songs represented, both hanging around the top 5 ! Such an underrated band.

 

The Nada Surf songs are both such great picks. Shocked at how much I enjoyed the newer song because I haven't kept up with them

 

Also, if we're talking about it now, I'll say what I said in my comment - I like and respect Cake, but hearing this song now made me realize how much of a direct influence he had on Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers and that had a very unfortunate impact on my listening experience lol

 

Mine’s hanging about where I expected it to - pretty in the middle. There were a lot of directions to take this round so just sorta threw a pick out there and ran lol. Really like this playlist a whole lot though, this and I Don’t Get It have been my favorites of the season
