this would be somewhat surprising regardless of what dude says but what I think is completely undeniable is that Trump does not and did not like being president, mostly hated it, hates what's happening now, is miserable. he wants every moment to be sitting in that big rig honking the horn. If the USA had split Heads of State and Government he'd only run for Head of State he just likes being in the center of a big pageant

That's the craziest part, Trump hates being President. And it'll be so much worse for him this time because people won't respect him or put up with his shit. And he actually has no idea how anything works in Washington. All the respected people in his administration who tried to keep the ship running won't be there either.

Also, Trump doesn't have the ability to self control what he says or tweets.

 

like he doesn't have the capacity to purposefuly sabotage his campaign with Vance but if that happens to happen that's exactly what he wants, he can do January 6th too from the safety of his own home

 

I’m trying not to give too much personal info out on here, but…
I’m in a city Facebook group for the city I work in to see updates if they involve my students and their families. I don’t comment on anything, but I want to stay updated because there’s a lot of crime and my students have rough home lives. The admin of the group and another person have been posting right-wing memes, political posts, and pictures from their Trump rally nonstop. Some people that are actually sane pop in to make a post saying how they thought the group was for city updates and talk. and not politics (understandable), but the admin replies with “freedom of speech” and “a safe space for citizens to speak freely and have civil discussions”. I used the block feature on them for the first time ever and idk why it’s taken me this long. It’s made a big difference.

Trump only followed through on his 2016 campaign because his racism got the Celebrity Apprentice canceled so he had no better options, and now he's only following through on his 2024 campaign to evade the legal consequences of his last presidency.

the one for my hometown of 11k is split into a "main" one that is heavily moderated and does not allow politics, a right wing "free speech" spinoff, and a "woke" (my word) one that is nice and organizes cute pride stuff

 

I have sometimes wondered if this would be a better system than we have now. Just have the Speaker of The House be the Prime Minister, and have the POTUS be this ceremonial powerless mascot figurehead we get to elect celebrities to every 4 years. It would be kinda fun.

 

Honestly might be happening in a few MI groups. It’s infuriating.

We have two for our town I think, one was originally called “taking back ___” or whatever something like that because I think it was originally about fighting a crime wave/drug thing, and is run by…idk how to describe the person. A Karen of sorts? But also clearly has political ambition and went from a somewhat moderate gay lib to a maga-esque one during the 2018 elections so he could run for state office as a Repub, and then after he lost immediately reverted back lol. The other one is mostly boring around town posts and crime updates and etc. and in both of them whenever someone starts talking politics, they often get lots of of “oh stfu no one wants to talk politics in here” comments lmao

 

I can't think of anything I'd rather look at less than a local Facebook group lol or Facebook in general
