Nate silver saying other people have the worst political instincts is the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen

 

I’m a PA resident whose likelihood of voting for Harris would drop if Shapiro were picked. So if she’s trying to court “PA voters,” Shapiro should be taken off the table.

 

The implication is Tim Walz wouldn’t be able to connect to Pennsylvanian voters which is laughable. He’s been the most relatable normal VP candidate thus far.

Walz definitely can connect with PA voters. So could Beshear, but I can’t fault them for using the data of Shapiro directly winning elections in PA to inform that. But I still think it is gonna be Beshear. The cover-up stuff with Shapiro is a real killer from a practical point of view. Harris is doing well, I think, because she has allowed dems to play offense for once in their lives instead of defense. With Shapiro, you have to go into defense mode again.

 

No offense but you’re a good person so I don’t think you’re the average PA voter. I think they’re aiming at more degenerate fucks like @imthegrimace

Shapiro could win them PA but cost them MI, and definitely slow momentum, he’s easily the worst option so yeah it makes sense if he’s the pick.

what's the reasoning for Beshear before Waltz...?

I don't know a lot about either of them, but I've seen a lot of short videos of Walz doing things completely unrelated to governance that make me like him

 

I liked that video of him being kind about trans kids, that's really it. they seem comparable

 

It's one of those things where the mission is really 'do no harm'. Beshear or Walz aren't going to add a ton of votes, but they will get her a great news cycle. Shapiro immediately brings things into scandal territory.
