Got my Pale Horses collector's edition today, they knocked it out of the park as always. One bummer was I didn't get the alternate rainbow bellyband, I assume because I got the audiophile black edition.

I noticed this on a long drive the other day. So nice!!!!

 

Just got my Pale Horses deluxe vinyl late last week and am now of course doing a complete discog run. Miss these guys so much!

 

randomly heard Dustin Kensrue's cover of Stick Carrot String today, definitely made me miss these guys all over again

 

Need a new deluxe Untitled pressing in this style and my collection is done besides I Never Said I Was Brave

 

I have not heard that but it's funny because I just finished up it's all crazy earlier and thought about how there are not many covers of mwY songs at all in general (which I'm fine with, don't bastardize this stuff). I'd honestly love to hear Dustin take a crack at King Beetle

Dustin would kill King Beetle although I worry that any cover of that song would take out the instruments that accompany each character's introduction, I absolutely love that shit

They’ve been cooking since MWY broke up. Not sure if it is the scoring stuff or an actual band, but I hope we get more music from these dudes ASAP. Would also love if the original Norma Jean lineup put out music under a new name.

Revisiting the Colour Revolt album Daniel played on this morning. So good. Dude is a monster and brings the ruckus to every record he plays on.

 

Didn't know Daniel recorded for Colour Revolt, his resume couldn't have been more impressive and this adds a lot hahh!

The Cradle! Incredible parts. Would love to hear more melodic / less heavy stuff from him in the future.

 

I think it's one of my favorite records of that era, it's funny I didn't know that (or maybe just have forgotten somehow). Listening to it again right now, and leaving the thread for more mwY talk, I guess

 

I missed that it was Daniel Davidson who posted this and had to go tearing through the anals (sp??) of Instagam to find out what was going on haha.

looks like Johnny Dang from O'Bro is also involved. Sounds amazing!

 

BTW Aaron did a podcast around the time they were breaking up and said it is highly unlikely that would be the last time they would ever record together or play a show. Would love if they secretly record a record and surprise us in the next couple of years. Also to bring it back to the Daniel Davison conversation When Ricky was having all the hearing troubles Daniel was in the wings ready to fill in at shows. Would lose it if he became their drummer or touring member in the future.
