boyhood was decent enough in the theater but i’ve had zero desire to rewatch since

 

Haven't seen a ton of Linklater but I like Boyhood best of the ones I've seen.

Nolan is tougher for me, but probably Inception. Hard to beat the feeling I had walking out of the theater after that one.

 

Boyhood is definitely my favourite Linklater after the Before trilogy.

 

In terms of number of watches, “School of Rock” is my number one Linklater. It’s just a perfectly watchable comedy.

 

looking at the filmography, boyhood is probably 5th for me

Memento & Before trilogy

 

Foxcatcher was bad but he is a lot better than most of the mainstream studio drama people.

 

He got the best dramatic performance out of Channing Tatum's career so far.. shame he didn't got oscar nominated but Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo did.

 

That would track for the Oscars. Carell and that fake nose were terrible.

 

The sequels sucked ass, but that first one was pretty fun. We quoted it a lot in college. Feels like that’s one of those movies that just doesn’t get made any more.

I've said from the moment Chloe took on Eternals that I couldn't wait to see what her next "one for her" was. I am no less excited now.

 

im going to pretend eternals didn't happen and be very excited for it

 

I loved Nomadland when it came out, but it didn't stick with me like The Rider did. Very curious what she does next. (And if there are any positive lessons from that whole Eternals mess, lol.)
