2024 Fantasy Football Thread

A thread for general fantasy football talk. It’s that time again! Leagues are starting to fire up, NFFC drafts are going on, memes are flowing. I haven’t started any of my research yet but got my magazines and gonna dive in soon.

 

I still have not started any research and now I’m taking a class the next two weeks where all my free time to read will be reading documents for the class. Oops!

 

Unrelated to the tweet…In my first and possibly only NFFC best ball draft this year. Was gonna do 3 of them but life had other plans these last few weeks.

three of my normal leagues drafts are set, gotta figure out my keepers. I think my choices are pretty easy this year, I think my only real tough one is going to be figuring out who to keep between AJ Brown and DJ Moore. Brown costs a lot more auction money for me to keep.

 

Completed my fantasy football draft last night. Was surprised that Bijan fell to me at 6

 

I’ve been doing my NFFC draft, it’s going okay. Gotta decide on keepers for a couple of my leagues soon

 

last year Yahoo said i had a D- draft and would finish 2-12...... i had the best record and won the whole thing

this year... SAME FUCKING SHIT! Another D-. These yahoo eggheads just dont understand. Cant see the forest through the trees with some of these picks. Lets go! Breece, Marvin Harrison, K Will, Devonta...you guys are my work horses. Lets go.

 

12 team half PPR. Drew 10th spot in a keeper league and it was a brutal draft. Every guy I wanted picked directly in front of me. Don’t like it.

Real weird going double QB and TE. Last year I was stuck in QB streaming hell. The Bowers pick was because I was so mad someone snagged BTJ in front of me and I wanted a fun player (and possible good 10th round keeper)

 

that’s not a bad team for a 12 teamer imo. I get RB feeling shaky but feels more likely than not that you end up with two starting caliber RBs out of those first three.

 

Yeah I’m actually fine with my RB room, it’s my depth WR4 and beyond I feel BAD about.

Got sniped constantly on BTJ, Worthy, Watson, etc

 

Yahoo gave me a D+. 12 team league. Personally feel pretty good about it. Could be rough at RB if I get some injuries though

 

Yeah your RB depth is rough but the starters are great. Just gotta stay healthy haha

 

Just had my first draft of the season, for my main league tonight. Auction draft with some rule changes this year. Whew.

 

HEre it is. 10 team keeper PPR. Our league after many failed attempts voted to get rid of kickers (boo) and added a second flex spot (also boo). Definitely added some confusion on how to value guys for me. But I still mostly like my team.

Legit don't know what to make of my team. Trying to decide the starters is going to feel like torture for week 1 at the least. Was down to my last roster spot and only had $2 left, when it was my turn to nominate I tried to get Jaylen Wright and Jaleel McLaughlin to handcuff one of my backfields, but got snaked out of both of them. Ended up with Vidal at the end.

 

2nd draft.....12 team, .5 PPR, small amount of keepers, still 4 points per passing TD.

Didn't love the way this draft went down at all. Dudes were getting picked a round early left and right. About the only guy I got that I was actually targeting where I got him was Tyreek, and maybe Diontae Johnson and Kirk. Yeesh.

 

I have decided to fantasy football for the first time in 5ish yeats

 

ooh! yahoo added pro $$$ leagues with custom formats! finally! I HAAAAAAAAAATE "basic" fantasy football leagues (1Q, 2R, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX etc" with basic scoring (and only like10 teams)... it's super generic and honestly a coin flip and i hate it. I found a good super flex with 2QBs (my fave, you GOTTA have 2 q's in a league to give them ANY value)

Welp, looks like i'm riding and dying with Breece Hall. I had the last pick of the 1st round and the rest of the league was busy drafting QB's and i went Breece/Bijan (Im not in live with Bijan but i'm taking a gamble)

 

i'm broke and the leagues i were in five years ago are filled. so i opted for joining a bunch of free leagues i found on reddit and yahoo. i didn't read the rules on them and now i'm like when do i draft a DB?

First of two big money drafts was last night, this one I co-manage with a friend. 12 team, PPR, 3 WR/TE spots in lieu of a TE and flex spot.

As you can see, there were some weird ass picks in this draft that resulted in us going the "Hero RB" approach that resulted in an absolutely ridiculous WR room and not a lot of depth at RB. We love our QBs too, Willaims with the rushing upside and Goff with his like 13 indoor games this year.

 

main draft is at 630 tonight and one at 7 tomorrow night.

not going to have time to get home from work tonight before it starts so i'm going to have to draft my starters here and put it on autodraft while i drive home. very cool.
