I already regret seeing the trailer before Longlegs, but posting for anybody that does want to watch

I thought so. I’m pretty sure someone in this thread said not to watch the trailer because they’ve seen the movie. I took their advice but didn’t account for seeing previews before horror movies. Lol

I wish I was as hyped about Cuckoo like I was for Longlegs and IAVN. I'll still see it because Hunter rules.

 

Hunter is great in it but it’s definitely the weakest of those three.

I’d say it’s about the level of Abigail, so consistency for Dan Stevens.

 

Interesting. Longlegs continues to kind of fall apart in my mind. Very curious about Cuckoo.

 

I think Longlegs was a disappointment in the ending, but overall better.

Cuckoo is fun but not really trying to do as much. It’s like a nice solid double versus a blown home run.

Yeah that metaphor tracks yeah.

That’s the best and worst part about forums, the internet, reviews, etc.

 

I had not watched any trailers or read the plot synopsis for Cuckoo so I am going into this completely blind when I watch it at the cinema!

 

Stay away from the cinema until it comes out then! But no, obviously just schedule to skip the previews everyone has already seen a million times on our different sized black screens.

They set an M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap on me and now I feel like I saw too much of Cuckoo. Everyone would’ve been laughing and talking about me if I ran out like a maniac when the trailer started. And I can’t even tell them all to be quiet during the movie as they’re talking about me because they’ll have every right to tell me “shut up nerd”. Genuinely bummed. Still excited to see Cuckoo though!

 

When it comes to going to the cinema in general I tend to be during the week because it's like £7.00 where I am from.. other cities £5 but its always quiet and more for people who actually watch films and not on their phones or talking out loud.. but the couple of times I watched a film on opening weekend the audience was well behaved!

Rewatched Horror in the High Desert last night. Then Tubi recommended The Arrival and I said why not and watched that too.

Will watch Horror in the High Desert 2 tonight.

 

Someone put Horror in the High Desert 3 on Plex, I'm lazy.

 

Rewatched Lisa Frankenstein, still really fun. Bluray got some nice bloopers and featurettes

 

The 2 main actors are gonna be at our comic con in a couple months. So that’ll be fun.

 

I've had a crush on Kathryn since she was in Supernatural

 

Thought High Desert 2 was a little better. More tension and creepy moments.

 

not quite horror, but also rewatched Drive Away Dolls, also still really fun

 

Agreed, and apparently the third on is even better

 

Rewatched Dead Ringers last night and it did a lot more for me on second watch, honestly jumped into my top five Cronenberg flicks (in the five spot). He's so good at making the human world feel alien and at humanizing terrible people. Jeremy Irons is absolutely incredible in that dual role, you almost always know which twin is on screen just by how they carry themselves. A lot funnier than I remembered (although the humor is pitch black) and there's several non-traditional but very scary/disturbing moments in it.
