All Vance had to do was come out and say "we're going to make america great again" or some vague crap. Instead he lit himself on fire.

Shit, Mountain Dew is probably pissed and going to drop in sales lmao.

Honestly, people who were too young to be let down by Obama might eat this up and get activated.

I think the idea is you can show them a photo of any woman preceded by a context clue or vocal tone that suggests they’re supposed to dislike them, and they’ll denigrate their own character accordingly with vile comments.

I'm sitting here watching the Kamala speech like I don't believe a word of these promises, but damn good ass promo she is gonna get over.

There is something about Kamala's persona and speaking style that seemed familiar to me, then it hit me: she comes off as the tropey boss on a primetime courtroom procedural legal drama. Basically she is like a real life Shonda Rhimes character.

The pro to having content brain is understanding that politics is also content. Kinda the whole subtext of the post.

Of all the annoying changes to Twitter since Elon bought it these nearly full screen ads for apps might be what drives me away

Not voting because both parties suck is such a dumb move. Maybe wait until the literal return to power for fascism is gone before grandstanding.

Two very well thought out posts are right here explaining why a lot of people think it’s a reasonable choice.

Well certainly not going to convince people to vote for Kamala by calling them dumb and moralizing at them.

    Vote Blue

I don't care if people vote for Kamala, I can't control others. But saying that the parties are equal is just flat out incorrect. Both are atrocious, war mongering, rapist enabling, genocide abiding pieces of shit. One is worse.

Not voting isn't going to to make the choices any better. If you have a moral dilemma to voting for either side, you're looking at it with a myopic outlook.

Nobody said both parties are equal and those generalizations are way too simplistic. Voting is not going to make those choices any better even more concretely than not voting. Because we’ve lesser evil voted ourselves into this position in the first place the reality is there are things you can do in organizing and outside of presidential elections that have a bigger impact on protecting marginalized people both here and abroad and on things like climate. So rather than scold people on withholding a presidential vote because they can’t stomach genocide I’d rather ask voters what they are doing beyond casting a vote that will make real change or protect the things they care about.
I still have hope here from what little has been reported about Harris on Israel/Palestine and like I said my default is to vote for her but goddamn we have to draw a line at some point because not drawing any lines is how we got to the point where we were forced to vote for genocide or not vote at all

Fully agree. This isn't the election to draw the line. There are infinitely more valuable ways to help your neighbor than by voting. You can do those things and vote. Fuck, write in whoever. At least let the Dems see they lost your vote.

I don’t think I disagree with that. I will say that if Harris or whoever the dem candidate is isn’t willing to combat the Supreme Court imo it’s only delaying everything in project 2025 at best. Hell the Court has done a lot of the work on project 2025 just in the last few terms.

This is disingenuous, don't be intentionally obtuse it's not helpful. Write in someone who aligns with why you didn't force yourself to fix their mistakes. Write in Judy Chu or someone who voted Nay on supplementing Israel support. They will know why.
