One of the biggest lessons about politics I am being reminded of the past couple weeks is that the loudest voices online are not at all representative of the actual voting public. The most politically online are often the most sheltered and offbase in their opinions, they are not meant to be taken seriously. The danger though lies in people who run campaigns taking those people online seriously while writing off the red flags from polls and focus groups of the broader non-online America.

 

Any lib giving a lefty shit for getting on board with Kamala can stfu. Its what you wanted—people willing to vote for someone they don’t particularly like to stop someone worse

 

Heaven forbid they try for once getting on board with one of our candidates for a change lol

 

tbf I don’t think Roberts is necessarily giving them shit for it, but just don’t make smarmy sarcastic comments about it. Take the W and worry about getting the W in November

 

They spent the last 8 years trying to frame the left as the "purity politics" faction, and the second the left shows some real substantive pragmatism it fries their circuits and they don't know how to respond other than calling POC zoomers racists.

Good god lol this time he says he doesn’t see the problem with constantly bringing up sharks vs electrocution because it’s an “analogy” and then when he explains why it’s an analogy he points to the GOP congressmen in attendance and says “well they’re sharks” and then goes on to say that he’d rather die by electrocution than be anywhere near them hahahaha what a country.
