Loving that Joey Valence & Brae album, but I did see a Youtube comment calling them "Greta Van Fleet but for the Beastie Boys" and it made me lol

 

They’re really just License To Ill-type Beastie Boys (at least based on what I heard), which is so not representative of the Beastie Boys. The Beastie Boys were brilliant producers who, among others things, helped revolutionise sample-based production with Paul’s Boutique.

Denzel album definitely feels like one of his "side-project" albums like Zuu or Unlocked but it's still amazing, production is nuts and everyone brings it

I been doing an Denzel Curry discography listen through in preparation of seeing him live for the first time in a few weeks time being main support on Korn's own headline outdoor show in London and yeah that guy just does not miss and I am confident he's gonna smash it and win a lot of new fans over!!

Goddamn, I've always liked Denzel, never really loved a project of his (Eyez comes closest), but I never expected him to drop some straight-up Memphis shit. This new one goes hard as hell. Sounds like Lil Ugly Mane from 10 years ago (complimentary)

 

Lupe, NxWorries, and Denzel have all really stood out the last month or so. Really good shit.

 

Somehow missed out on listening to Common & Pete Rock and Boldy James till right now - also very good!
