Seeing the videos of people watching the shooter casually wiggle his way up onto the roof and set up shop in the middle of the speech is crazy. You'd figure he'd have been camped out for hours. But again, I'm struck at just how small this rally was. Obviously his campaign is great at framing all these events as raucous, filled-to-the-brim events, but it looked more like the neighborhood gathering for an all-dad cover band putting on a summer concert in the park.

If this is how sparsely attended his rallies have been lately, I'm not surprised at the lack of security. They were probably letting anyone in just to fill the space.

This is such a big thing. Homeowners insurance in Florida under Desantis has gotten fucking insane. My parents right now are paying more in insurance than they are in mortgage payments, my aunt and uncle are moving out of state soon because their home insurance premiums were getting so bad.

Remember Florida is the canary in the coal mine as far as the us housing market goes.
