Malakai Black hit a brainbuster on Tony Nese then immediately went to the top turnbuckle for the next spot (which was Nese recovering and knocking Black off the turnbuckle)

but what was Malakai even gonna do up there

 

For years he used a top rope double stomp as a finisher. Sometimes he does a knee drop.

Yeah it’s good, but makes me sad on not seeing Styles in Japan more frequently. Same with Iyo as she holds back when in the states per her interviews.

I feel like he's done some flying/jumping knees before (maybe in his Andrade matches?).

Also, yeah, he does that double stomp (think he did it a few times in NXT as a pinfall breakup? maybe in his tag with Ricochet?)

 

I wouldnt read much into that. They've been working that house show match for 2 months (I saw it in late June, for example...and they were working it before Clash as well...and its like 4 minutes of warring "Yeet" stuff until he finally gets Priest to do it. Then they work 5mins of an actual match.

People were cheering Priest enough that he could absolutely do a face turn...but, then he's gonna get lost in the shuffle real fast. See: face Jey Uso who's been eating pins to him for months and has been reduced to a catchphrase.
