Like I would give literally anything at this point to not live in a dysfunctional slowly crumbling empire. Like is it too much to ask to live in a normal country with normal people where everything is normal?

I think saying this automatically wins Trump the presidency is a bit too doomer imo. Sure, he’ll most definitely get some kind of boost in the polls out of this but let’s also be real with each other, dude is still deeply unpopular outside of his base and if someone was gonna vote for him based on this, then they already were going to and this gave them an excuse to justify it. If anything is going to let Trump win, it’s gonna be voter apathy.

I don't think it's gonna be Trump sympathy that wins the election as much I think Biden campaign's rhetoric on Trump now is going to be a lot more measured and careful. Biden isn't going to call Trump a threat to democracy anymore. Their main messaging strategy to beat him just got fucked.

For example Biden's team literally just announced they're pulling their campaign ads.

I don't think this will garner Trump as much sympathy as ya'll think it will.

 

If they were smart, they’d tie this in with Trump’s deregulation spree with firearms and present the message that he sowed this to happened but they won’t because they’re cowards with decorum.
