lots of them, but they also do a lot of headlining/direct support tours as well and the tours they’re on, whether headlining or supporting seem to do well. being a mid-lower tier popularity metal band seems to still be a decent money flow it seems? they did a good job getting on tours with bands like Polaris, Currents, Invent Animate, and Alpha Wolf as each of those bands started popping off in a big way in ‘22 and ‘23.

personally, i was surprised to see that Silent Planet was higher on the bill than Moths for this tour, but it does look like they have a bit more traction right now. i feel like both bands are in a similar spot of being lifers in the scene at this point without ever fully grabbing the rope that would pull them up into a higher tier of popularity. not sure what either band is really doing wrong.

it’s time for every band lead singer to become a twitch streamer

    It just makes sense

Silent Planet had a huge boost off Superbloom. That tour got upgraded in a lot of cities, iirc.

Apparently execs are freaking out cause Sexyy Red’s tour only sold 37% of tickets the opening weekend and they thought it was a slam dunk sold out tour

it’s almost like these viral, one-hit artists aren’t viable touring acts. isn’t ice spice having the same problem? get these artists on the road earlier to start building their live skills before pushing them as a TikTok act who doesn’t know how to perform live.

some shameless self-promo here, but my band starts this run on saturday. if you like post metal / black metal / music that people who don’t really listen to metal think sounds like deafheaven, come hang out! IMG_0780.jpeg

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Better yet, get them on a support slot before you even consider an arena tour

Do people really not buy tickets after the on sale? My immediate reaction is ok you thought it was gonna be an instant sell out? But 37% isn’t terrible right?

John // OC now, OH forever.

The tour kicks off 8/22. Most of the arenas have tarped off the top sections already and there are plenty of seats available. This is lower bowl in Oakland.

it didn’t jump out at me as a tour that needed to be canceled yet, however as the seat maps people provided, it’s not a conspiracy, it doesn’t have strong sales out of the gate.

I don't see how bigger companies could "Sabotage" her shows. What promoter did she use anyways?
