Or you can stick around and beat your meat. OMT closer was perfect

    Die rad.

I tend to leave shows early to beat the traffic and so bummed they are ending with OMT instead of Dammit or ATST. Guess Ill just hang in the parking lot watching a movie in my parking spot waiting for the lot traffic to die down. Not missing OMT live.

If you want to beat the traffic you could even walk away during the instrumental part after the final chorus and still likely beat everyone

edit: the visuals on that part really got me though so maybe stay if you can!

To clarify, when I said I probably would leave if my brain would allow it, it was solely because Fenway is a nightmare and I have to drive 3 hours after an hour T-ride back to my car, so in theory it would make sense given how I feel about it as a closer.

But I just don't leave shows early cause I don't like feeling like I missed something.

  5. Sheesh... I hope I live in a city forever, so I never have to drive 3 hours to a show haha.

    Naked in Manhattan.

I thought my 30 mile drive to SLC was bad enough... haha!

Just the norm for me over here! Plus, if it's a big venue in Boston, I'm better off taking the train (which takes an hour to get back to my preferred parking location) than paying like $75 to park on site and then sit in traffic for 2 hours.

I love when I'm able to take the Amtrak back to Maine, and do it whenever possible, but unfortunately, their last train leaves at 11:25pm and there's no way I could make it back to the station from Fenway without missing a good portion of whoever is headlining, so, that's a no go for those shows.

I'll often stay down there for Fenway events, but this is a solo trip for me and hotel prices were astronomical all throughout the city. I'll take the suffering for the evening, haha.

The shortest drive for any decent show for me is 45 minutes (St. Augustine). Jacksonville is an hour, Orlando is 1:15 and Tampa is 3 hours. I'm just used to it at this point.

I want to stay and watch OMT for the first time live......but this show is a stadium show with 42,000 people. From my experience with past stadium shows it typically takes an hour to get out of the lot. I might even leave when Dammit starts.

Not that I care that much about sitting in traffic, more that Im too obsessed with my dog and hate the thought of her waiting for me longer than she has to lol

  10. I'm 1 to 5 blocks away from 6 or 7 venues, so I just walk to all of them. I don't think I've had to drive to a show in 9 years. I am hashtag blessed. But I have flown to a handful of out of state shows, at least.

For Fenway, I would drive to Riverside (Green line d line) 30 minutes from out west. Take the train in to fenway/kenmore about 30 mins and off we go.

If I were going to Blink, I would do that. But that is our situation.

    Things have changed.

Aw same. I've definitely left shows before so I could get home and be with her sooner.

That's what I do! I find that in the last year or so, the train frequency from Kenmore has decreased and thus, the trip winds up being closer to an hour.

I thought OMT was going to be a terrible closer and then I saw it with the visuals and it was perfect and made me tear up

I was tempted and probably would've bit if it came with the custom hard case like the blackout did. Saving up for an eventual Starcaster purchase instead..
