In theaters tonight is The Mask, Caddyshack, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. What do I pick?

Id go close encounters

 

People are weirdly mad at her for cashing in but why shouldn't she? There's so much other pointless stuff out there.

Apparently she was fired from her teaching job except she wasn't

I for one would like to learn more about her.

He says, knowing anything else will probably be bad.

 

She was taken advantage of when she was obviously drinking and had her guard down. I'd much rather her get the money than those obnoxious social media people who harass people in public.

 

I would hope the anger is more towards these Discovery-like companies trying to turn a quick buck on a meme that’s already run its course. But we know that’s not the case.

Watched Neighbors for the first time last night and it might be the funniest movie I've seen in years. Fucking Dave Franco's Dinero was hilarious. "HOO-AH!" Rose Byrne was also hilarious, which was cool to see. I'm used to her being in more serious roles.

Also just watched Goodfellas for the first time (I've only seen bits and pieces with it on in the background at my papa's growing up). Solid movie. Cool to see so many actors that ended up in The Sopranos

 

On the truncated point, it’s happened with multiple shows but for whatever reason I really remember it with Veep. They were flying through plot in the last season.

 

Yeah, plot is going to mostly stay the same but you are going to lose character development or more self-contained storylines.

The only 22 episode dramas I have seen are Star Trek: The Next Generation, which is mostly self-contained episodes anyway, and the first season of Friday Night Lights. With Friday Night Lights, the first season noticeably breathes a lot more, going into a lot of different subject matter, but it probably drags a little too long because of the natural structure of a high school football season. I made it through almost a full season of Lost but it felt like nothing happened in most episodes, which is bad when your characters are already flimsy to begin with.

 

What did you see?

 

i’d probably want to see the mask in theaters as an adult most of those three

 

Caddyshack. It came down to a lot of factors.

A. Caddyshack started 40 minutes later than the others, and I needed to digest dinner before popcorn.
B. The other two films are playing again on Wednesday.
C. It was playing at my personal favorite theater.
D. My father passed away two weeks ago, and one of the few things we shared in common was a love of Dangerfield.
E. The theater is giving discounts for teachers on tickets and concessions.
F. I felt like the audience for The Mask might be annoying and I knew I would fall asleep in the middle of Close Encounters.
