This is the first match I've watched of the Euros. Is this really England playing “much better”? I've obviously missed some atrocities.

 

Probably, though there are more German/Swiss speaking Swiss people overall than French, Italian or Rhaeto-Romance (a small but official national language) speakers, so I assume there would also be more of them in the stadium.

 

However, we all use words/phrases from all languages, so “allez” could very well be used by Swiss/German speakers in this context.
