love bernthal and goggins, get excited every time they pop up in something

 

Goggins is fucking great. A master at comedy and drama. I've mainly only seen him in SoA, Gemstones, Community, Fallout, and Django Unchained though. My fiance has also shown me some clips of him in other stuff I haven't seen bc she loves him too.

 

They’d be more massive stars if it were anywhere between 1970-2007. Movie stars in that era didn’t have to do Marvel TV shows or whatever, the current theatrical landscape is near barren for actual actors at their level of fame, and say what you want, but I think movie stars are made by box office/big screens

 

I feel like Bernthal needs better reps or something. The biggest thing he's been in since We Own This City came out over 2 years ago was his 3 guest spots in The Bear. He starred in that one Showtime show that got canceled that was absolute trash despite his best efforts.

His next roles are reprising The Punisher in another Daredevil show and reprising his character in the sequel to The Accountant. I mean come on get my man some meaty roles.

 

SoA should have hired a real trans actor, but man, Goggins played Venus with such care and respect. You really felt for her.

 

king richard was a big movie and you can't fault him for choosing to be in the sopranos prequel movie even if it didn't work at all. i agree generally but it doesn't feel like his star is fading or anything

plus the man is committed to podcasting and you have to respect that

He is also apparently doing Baby Driver 2, also reprising a role.
