I wish there was an official Olympics streaming service or something. Watching this here is such a pain in the ass, spread out across countless TV stations of different countries (I receive Dutch, German and English channels that air Olympics stuff), none of them probably showing what I actually wanna see.

I really want to watch basketball, skateboarding and breakdancing.

 

Get a VPN and subscribe to Peacock to watch the American coverage. They're streaming all events.

 

They probably only take American creditcards? I've tried this with Hulu in the past and it didn't work for that reason

No, I don't care about that, haha. I'm Swiss anyway, I just live in the Netherlands. But the Swiss are really more of a Winter Olympics country. As far as the Dutch go, I liked watching Ranomi Kromowidjojo, but she retired.

Well the ones I've come across in the past have had pretty good quality, haha. But yeah with a nice TV I'd want the best quality if possible too

What is cool about Breakdancing at the Olympics is that all the athletes have sick B-Boy/B-GIrl nicknames. For example there is an American named LogistX, a Canadian named Phil Wizard, and a Chinese breakdancer who just goes by "671"

 

Also, I was in Rotterdam last week for a conference; pretty nice city

 

It looks like Americans Victor and Jeffro are the two top favored to win the first ever men's breakdancing gold. Going to be a moment when either of them take it. I hope they're both all over TikTok and become big stars.

Another American to look out for is archer Casey Kaufhold. 20 years old. currently #1 ranked female archer in the world, and current Archery World Cup women's champion. She is seen as having a very good chance to get Team USA's first gold medal in Archery since 1996.

Breakdancing, much like skateboarding and snowboarding, is a somewhat weird category because there are also a lot of skaters/dancers etc. that are as good if not better that would never consider going to the Olympics, let alone compete in whatever you have to compete in to qualify. I know a lot of professional breakdancers that are really so far removed from this.

 

Haha, I mean it seems the country is pretty well hooked up with trains between all the cities; from Amsterdam it takes only like 30 minutes by train

 

Yeah, but my part of the country has a lot of nature preserves, so trains go in fewer directions haha
