The friko and good looks album are my 2 favorites of the year so far.

 

@dorfmac more Baltimore post hardcore you need to peep: Powerwasher. They’re shouty and erratic song structure and they literally wear pink car wash outfits live. New album just out:

they have a member that now lives in NY. In my dreams I’m playing with them in NY, with Wax Jaw in Philly, with Burial Waves in Baltimore, and with Outerloop in DC

 

Speaking of, peep Burial Waves. New project of the frontman of Pianos Become the Teeth (and the other 3 members are from other large DC/Baltimore area bands as well - Caverns, Black Clouds, The Effects). Kind of like a modern emotional post hardcore supergroup. Lot of folks here would like them, sorta reminds me of Thrice’s Fire EP and also Balance and Composure. @Dinkleberg up your alley for sure.

This EP is amazing, and they’re releasing a full length album later this year. They’re gonna play with Caspian + And So I Watch You From Afar at 930 Club soon, I badly wanna go

they make me wanna play slower and more dramatic and heavier sometimes

 

If Terrain - Chasm can be mentioned in Baltimore zines and blogs and other micro media alongside Powerwasher and Burial Waves as one of the best punk / post hardcore albums released locally this year, we’ll be in great shape

 

Cinema Shame has been one of my top played songs of the last year or so, enjoyable EP.
