Got my ticket for Chicago. Everyone here is grumpy talking about this tour and I'm just sitting here all excited to be able to see 5 bands I like in one night.

The unannounced band is Armor For Sleep. Regardless of what I’ve said, this tour would be a good time. Kudos to HH sticking it out and putting together a package tour like this along with their festivals. Honestly shocked they’ve had a resurgence in popularity. Band has released some great tunes for quite some time and been consistent even if they rely on nostalgia for most of their relevancy.

Could they not announce that because of the Bayside tour?

This is making a stop about 45 minutes from me and I might make a trip just to see Cartel.

I wish Saosin was on mine, too. That would’ve definitely sealed the deal. Never been big on HH and I’ve seen them a few times by chance, but I wouldn’t mind catching Anberlin again.

In shocking news no one saw coming, Armor For Sleep were officially added to the Chicago date. They are the blurred name.

I was thinking about going too but with it being at the HOB (which I hate to my core), the fact I saw Bayside, Finch and Armor For Sleep multiple times in the past year and it being on a Monday made me decide against it. At least I'll catch AFS at the Salt Shed next month.

you missed a killer show! all 3 bands had great sets and crushed it, they were at the top of their game, for me i hadnt seen AFS or finch in a decade so it was worth it, but i understand haha next month will be a killer show! i love the salt shed, i'll be there tonight for atmosphere, stoked!!

Am I remembering wrong or did Emery announce they are doin TWE on this tour? It looks like they played 30 minutes last night so I'm not sure how that is possible. Looks like the first few bands are playing 30 minutes, the next tier is 45 and the headliners are doing an hour.

Set times for tonight in Chicago:

    TWL 5:30-6:00
    Emery 6:15-6:45
    AFS 7:00-7:30
    Anberlin: 7:45-8:30
    ISS: 8:45-9:45
    HH: 10:00-11:00

Guessing ISS are not headlining their dates after all

This thing actually seems to be selling well, I’ve seen venue upgrades for a few dates

I'm not surprised, HH have been selling out shows constantly since the pandemic.

It’s wild cause right before the pandemic they were playing these same songs to like 50-200 people

Anberlin's set was a complete clusterfuck.

They came on 20 minutes late and Matty's mic dies in the middle of the second song. Took them about 10 minutes to get that resolved and you could see they were NOT HAPPY. They managed to do 4 more songs and then the guitarist said "my boss just told me we are done". The other guitarist slammed his guitar on the stage and Matty apologized and said they were "at the mercy of people who have no idea what they were doing". Oof.

At least Matty sounded great (when his mic worked) and the other new song (Seven) was really good.

Yesterday at Summerfest they had no problems, but Hawthorne Heights had some issues - I think a mic. Started 15-20 min late and could tell they were frustrated before it was fixed. Not sure if it’s related, probably not but interesting
