Blood Records has some really cool variants of albums I’ve never heard of and the ones I want end up being zoetropes… saves my money I suppose

 

I got all excited snagging that Blur Parklife zoetrope on record store day, but I can't see any of the animations when I spin it.

 

You need to record it with your phone to view it. Or so I've heard. haha

I have the Holly Humberstone zoetrope. It’s a cool gimmick with your phone, but after that, loses the novelty.

A few of the sites with Atreyu orders have this listed as the front cover and You Give Love a Bad Name on the tracklist as it’s the ‘deluxe’ edition cover. Amazing if YGLABN is included but I’d be gutted if we won’t get the original cover.



6th September as the release date on all of them. Google 0888072592292 and it should show you the sites that have it up but it’s mainly Netherlands / Belgium.

 

How do zoetropes sound generally?

 

It's essentially a picture disc, so not great when compared to standard vinyl.

 

If anyone remembers Blind Pilot, they have a new album up for preorder, as well as all their previous albums available on vinyl in their webstore.

I've been eyeing their debut, which was going for $100+ on Discogs, so this was a nice surprise.
