Wouldn't shock me if JT goes full in on NSYNC after the tour of this album as a career redeemer. Also only mildly like half of this album, but like it more than MOTW.

 

On my second listen I noted which tracks I would keep to make a slimmed down stronger album, this is what I got

I almost kept Conditions but Paradise is a really good closer, maybe fitting it elsewhere in the tracklist works better for a condensed version

 

i tried giving this album another chance the other day and just skipped a bunch of songs. the fact that timbo has barely any good beats on here really gives credence to how vital he was to JT having any career at all outside nsync. with timbland's spark lost, justin might just be washed here

 

Timbaland is only on 5 of the 18 tracks, which is weird because I swear he said they worked on a full album together.

 

Pretty sure JT mentioned in an interview that he made like 50 songs for this album, so it's possible Timbaland had a full albums worth.

Headline says it all. But interesting to also see that his label is going to start pushing No Angels to radio next week. Which is just weird. Why wouldn't they push the single when the album first released? It's not like Selfish was climbing the charts or anything.

Album is a bit of a snooze, but also it just feels like the label didn't care about promoting it at all.

 

I finally got to it like a week ago and it's WAY too long and has some pretty bad songs but there's plenty of good ones too. I'd put it about equal with MOTW

yesterday i went out to eat with some people, and the restaurant must've had justin timberlake pandora on, cause in the time i was there i heard 3 songs from EITIW, as well as nsync's gone and also WGACA. the latter two really showed how much less life is in his newer shit

like, his new album isn't the worst shit ever or anything, it's just that so much of it is piously middle of the road
