  1. i like the line "give me one good reason why we need to be like them" but the rest sure is goofy haha.

i just listened through all of TOYPAJ for the first time in a bit. still sounds like it came out today, 23 years later.

    Things have changed.

The instrumental of "Give Me One Good Reason" rips ... the lyrics leave a lot to be desired.

TOPYAJ is low on the list of personal preference in the blink catalog, but it is undeniably a killer album and when I am in the mood it crushes front to back. I have a soft spot for Shut Up, and I love that a bunch of pop punk resurgence acts keep throwing Roller Coaster around as a nod to the GOATs.

You will be crucified for ranking so low, but I highly agree my friend. Its the only album I dont ever revisit. I wouldnt rank under Neighborhoods, but its just a bit too soft for me. I remember being so excited for it, but let down at the time. Boxcar blew it away then.

IMO all blink whoops ass and it comes down to personal preference where records land. Poppy Blink with darker lyrical undertones is my personal preference, but TOYPAJ and Enema are undeniable in their resonance with literally everyone on planet earth.

I didn’t get the CD until 2010 and it didn’t have any bonus tracks :(

I like Time To Break Up and What Went Wrong more than a bunch of the album songs

Wonder if the band does too and made sure that the tracks on bonus discs were strong. Can you imagine flopping them around a bit and having like “shut up” or “give me one good reason” in place of any of them?

Team all the discs. Red, Yellow, Green, and the silver with three logos (aka the edited version).

I remember making my whole family wait to go on vacation because the record store opened at 10:00 AM and they were recieving TOYPAJ exactly that day. My dad wanted to leave early and he was angry at me but all that faded away the moment I got in the car, opened my album (pants edition, the best one) and played it in my discman(lol).

Every time I listen to Anthem PII I remember that trip.

  15. I still use my old high school discman when I listen to CDs at home :-)

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

I have a similar vivid memory of going to the record store with my folks to pick up EOTS. I put it in the cars player and once i heard I need a girl that I can train I immediately put it on my walkman. Mom was nottttt into that. haha

Vivid memories of buying EOTS & TOYPAJ on release day. My mom almost didn't let me get Enema because of the album art but relented because it originally didn't have a parental advisory. I also remember running into the girl I had a crush on at the record store on TOYPAJ release day and she was crying in excitement before going home and listening for the first time. Miss those days...

by the time the Mark, Tom and Travis show came out, i was a diehard blink fan. vividly remember buying that CD on release day.

leading up to TOYPAJ, i saved up money to collect all three versions of the CD and the hunt began on release day!

My memory of TOYPAJ was going to this local non-chain cd store the Friday before its Tuesday release cause I knew they sold albums as soon as they received them and didn't wait for street date. Friday was their delivery day. I was the coolest kid in my Sophomore class with that shiny new jewel case four days early. Thought I was so badass. LOL. I did the same thing for The Mark, Tom, and Travis cd.

Didn’t get to experience my first blink album release until Neighborhoods came out. It was my 15th birthday and my mom took me to Best Buy first thing in the morning. Probably why I like that album more than most of you guys lol

I didn’t pick up the album until the Friday after release. I remember being at the mall seeing Tomb Raider the same night.

Memories of TOYPAJ is being 13/14/15 and just being in high school and having it identify with my personality. Watched the Urethra Chronicles 2 almost daily, and just hung out with my friends, having sleepovers, playing video games and watching movies every single weekend. We all loved blink and TOYPAJ was our soundtrack for so long.

That being said, it sits around 4th on my list. Incredible and super important album to my DNA, but Untitled, Dude Ranch and EOTS I love more.

Amazing album. Ace fucking pushes his voice to the limits in some spots and it's great

Got the vinyl today and was able to give it a spin. Really digging it. That second half is real nice.

edit: oh. Thought this was the TEN thread based on the above reply.
