Backslide sounds straight out of the 00s and I love it

 

I love 80% of this so far...need a few more listens. Backslide is by far a standout, but I feel like they took a chvrches route here instead of progressing the way they were. I personally love In Rolling Waves, but this will sink in eventually.

 

Agree; not a fan of taking out the guitar sounds, as that is one of the main things I liked about them in the first place, but I think this should grow on me. I ordered the CD anyways, so I should get some good driving time with it

 

This album is a delight.

 

"My Energy", mmmmmmmmm

 

Runners, mmmmmm

 

I feel like this is the kind of album I'd listen to in the summer, but I'm in love with it. It doesn't scream "autumn" for me, but then it is almost summer in their part of the world. I'm loving how Alisa sounds in this one - she's a little more mellow and controlled, I think. Loving the lyrics and theme, as well.

Just overall in love with this album. 5/7. Highly recommend.

They're such a great live band, would love to catch them again touring on this record

 

The Chain Gang of 1974 opened for them last night; awesome stuff

They're playing in Columbus on Monday and I just got a shift swap to have the day off. I might have to go to that show...

 

Pretty much obsessed with The Runners and Last Forever lately.

 

"Rotten" is the underrated hero here in my opinion, always surprises me
