It might end up being cheaper than taking an Uber too. Also, I haven't been too much in the Bridgeview area but that's not a place I want to get stuck in with no car while depending on rideshare.

 

Mostly in jest but since they had the falling out with Lolla last year they haven’t played Chicago at all on the new album cycle. They played Chicago Theater once after COVID in the lead up but it sold out extremely quickly

It's actually baffling how there's no good public transit to get to Seatgeek. An Orange Line extension over that way would do wonders for Red Stars attendance. From what I've read that stadium has trouble attracting attendance so it seem like a no-brainer.

 

No. The Interrupters haven't been in play for months. They shared that tour poster with 9/21 listed and an asterisk that said it was a "Sum-41 only festival date."

I said this at least 2-3 times over the course of this thread and nobody seemed to believe me. LOL

 

Random thought- I ran into the Soothesayer Hot Sauce guy at tied down and asked him about the pop punk pizza party. He smiled really big and said they’re working on it.

I wonder if the move from Douglas killed that event, or if they’ll just try to find a new bar closer to SeatGeek and keep it going.

 

It’s either that or Ford City as originally planned.

Sorry if that came off weird... That wasn't meant to be a slight against you in any way and I didn't mean to imply that you were the person who didn't believe me. LOL

It's just come up a few times and every time I would point it out somebody would say "Oh, but maybe! I don't know why they'd be on the tour and not play!" despite literally being told that the band said they weren't.

 

Been bummed all day thinking about how I won't get to end my night with nachos at the church that was a few blocks away form Douglass.

 

I know it’s not music related but I’m actually planning on moving to Chicago the week of Riot Fest. Going to hopefully take a week or two off and have a job set up at a bar somewhere.

Anyone know how hard it is to find a decent bar to work for? Right now I’ve been managing a bar in downtown Oklahoma City the last 4 years and have a few years experience prior to this.

 

Shouldn’t be too hard but you’ll likely be starting from the bottom.

 

I think you can add Lamb of God, Mastadon, Suicidal Tendencies and Rob Zombie to Sunday. At least according to a post made by Zombie.

 

To continue the locks that ended up not being locks… where the hell is cake?! They’re a bucket list band I was expecting to cross off

Was expecting Cake, Sleeping With Sirens, Knocked Lose, and Cap’n Jazz.

honestly it’s a little embarrassing that a brand new festival in Vegas got Cap’n Jazz but their hometown festival couldn’t.

 

Thinking about the lineup a bit more...it's good, and there is enough I would see here for sure, but I am just unsure with the whole transportation situation if it is even worth it. They should honestly be providing shuttles to the Orange Line.

 

I mean, they have gotten them before so I don’t think embarrassing is the right word there.

 

That’s exactly where I am and why I’m not going. Also the whole situation around the soccer game gives me ick.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if Cap'n Jazz was offered but they turned it down. I could see them wanting a little more control over their first performances back in a while.

 

Probably also why American Football booked the venue dates.
Also, wondering how long Riot Fest has been disclosing a move and if they allowed bands to drop once it changed.
