I think she said she hasn’t been writing anything, but who knows. She seemingly has a rocket strapped to her and hopefully can enjoy this without the weight of the world on her.

So I guess she just played Boulder a few months ago and isn’t coming to Denver any time soon so I ended up buying tickets for Austin City Limits to see her (among others)

Unsurprisingly, there are now people trying to make Chappell's statement from Gov Ball a gotcha moment and calling her out for playing in red states that have anti-LGBTQ laws. Of course these dumbfucks can't understand the difference between her choosing to play in these states for her fans and declining to play at the White House after being invited by people representing the government lol. Like it would be pretty disingenous to avoid these states when she grew up in a similar situation in Missouri and how much she talks/sings about it.

 

Will there be a Bonnaroo stream this year? I'd love to see her set.

I think it's funny because any Chappell fan knows whether or not they're voting and a White House performance wouldn't sway anyone

At her KC show, she gave a really nice speech about how shows like hers would have helped, growing up in smalltown Missouri where queer people can often feel isolated. People that feel like red states should be punished for having terrible politicians can eat shit.

 

I don't know if I'll quite get to the point where I listen to full albums of hers in one sitting, because this genre just isn't my thing, but "Hot to Go" is stuck in my head constantly and "Casual" is SO good.

 

This lineup is amazing
