People on twitter are legitimately arguing that origins trailer is good lol I fucking despise half this fan base. there’s a very very good and positive tight knit community around dragon age that surprise surprise is mostly compromised of LGBQT+ people and then you’ve got your generic fantasy losers that latch onto anything inspired by Tolkien (who I love!) and bring nothing but toxicity and vitriol

 

another thing that excites me about avowed is that Carrie Patel is at the helm and as far I know this is her first game as top director? she was Josh’s number 2 for deadfire and I love that she gets a shot to make her own game in the universe after working on it under Josh. very very promising and watching this deep dive interview she’s very good at explaining what we’re in for. goes without saying and I’m not into tokenism and all that but we should all obviously be playing more games made by women anyway

I liked quite a bit of Patel's writing in PoE1. I thought Sagani and Aloth were probably best written companions outside of the Avellone companions. Sagani especially is underrated and I don't hear people talk about her much. She also wrote the Devil of Caroc in the expansions. I thought she was kind of a hoot.

I wish I knew who wrote what side quests in both games though, other than the companion stuff.

 

I had no idea who did what companions is there somewhere I can read up on that?

It's on the PoE wiki actually. If you go to each companion's page, there should be a trivia or behind the scenes section where it says who the companion was written by. And they're accurate as they source a post by Eric Fenstermaker(the guy who wrote Eder) on the Obsidian forums.
