So good

 

this album is amazing! definitely some of their best material. they took that clean and crisp sound of new age filth, and experimented a lot. love the range of styles on here, and some cool unexpected moments!

 

Donovans best performance here. Wild that he just keeps getting better.

 

This is really excellent stuff.

 

Easily their strongest and most streamlined work from a writing perspective, their other stuff is really good too but this bumps them up a notch imo

certainly shits on anything *** have done in the past 10 years or so

 

i haven't enjoyed much since Mental Knife, i think i listened to New Age Filth once and never revisited it. maybe it's just me but it didn't really hold my attention. the new one seems to be getting good reviews up in hurr though

 

Wow wow wow. I've always wanted to like these guys more but struggled to get into them for some reason. Maybe Donovan's singing in past albums was in such a narrow range it was a bit grating for me. Or them having a bit of a "a wall of sound" kind of feeling with the rest of the band.

This album is such a notch up on their previous material. The riffs, production, melodies. Donovan sounds absolutely fantastic on this. The first listen through this was sooo enjoyable. Contender for AOTY for me.

 

Any word on more music from Nova Charisma? That's probably my favorite project of his.

Unlikely, it seems that maybe Sergio and Donovan are no longer working together musically. :(

nothing public, but they no longer follow each other on social media or seem to have interacted at all in the last year or so. sergio also does not mention nova charisma along with his other bands in his instagram bio.

 

How long ago was this

 

It might be DGD related but I honestly have no idea. Could all be nothing but coincidence and speculation.

 

I have nothing to back this up whatsoever but I don’t think you need to look between the lines too hard to see if this band wants anything to do with DGD or not

(I don’t think they do)
