It kind of reminds me of fun’s rise. Just a lot of little things building up to a perfect storm of PR and the right song hitting at the exact right moment.

When she was booked here in the fall of last year, it was at a small club that they then had to upgrade to a bigger venue, which sold out fast and tickets on the secondary market shot up to $200-300.

 

Well I am really glad this thread is far more positive than when the album came out! Haha. I remember recommending the album to my girlfriend and being like, "I think it's great but everyone on my music site seems to find it really annoying so we'll see what you think!"

 

Yeah it was the perfect storm of tik tok, opening for Olivia, Good Luck Babe and her Coachella weekend 1 set. I saw her both weekends and I’ve never seen such a massive difference in crowd size only one week later

 

I was thinking about going to her St. Pete show a couple weekends ago but I ended up having to go out of town last week. I'm sad I missed it, hopefully she'll come back to Florida next tour.

 

Her Tiny Desk set also blew up, seen a lot of people who hadn't heard of her rave about it when it was released

This overall genre is typically extremely not my vibe but I am also fully on this hype train, I really enjoy much of what she has put out so far
