Yep, imagine him lasting through the 6th, you have Lester for the 7th/8th, and Chapman for the 9th if needed

 

Granted. But it's just glaring now when you think how well Lester settled in and realize he could have finished the game.

Hendricks could have easily pitched 8 innings tonight

Hendricks wasn't exactly cruising. 4.2 innings, 4 hits, an earned run, another unearned, a walk, 2 K, 63 pitches. I wouldn't have pulled him but he wasn't quite dominating.

 

How is this predictable at all?
