We took my son to a beer bar when he was five days old. His second birthday was at a brewery. Portland is great for family-friendly spots that don't feel like Chuck E' Cheese, but we've also been taking our kids to restaurants for so long they know how to act when they are there.

i'm fine with this as well. pets shouldn't be in grocery stores or anywhere food is being served or in public indoor spaces in general. outside patio at a brewery or coffee shop sure. inside nope.

edit: and if your dog isn't socialized and is barking at other dogs or people there, going to other tables, etc then leave them at home until you train them properly. it took me a long while to get my dogs socialized enough to behave at breweries and we didn't bring them with us because we didn't want to be "those people" on the patio while people are trying to enjoy their drinks and have a conversation.

All that sucks and david frum sucks, but I WOULD like to see Mexico crack down on the organized crime, if only because it would help make the American public more open to immigration from the southern border. Selfish of me I know lol

  4. I mean I get it but like the cartels have helicopter and shit man

    would it? would it really?

the truth is we should be preventing migration into the US borders by well, addressing the conditions that spur migration. i don't say in favor of the US as much as for the third world countries that suffer from brain drain due to losing their most skilled workers due to lack of development, industrialization, etc.

cartels are like capitalists that don't have state violence on their side so they hire their own violence, but also they have some state violence on their side.

breweries are so 2018, let's move on

i say this because my ex-wife loved going to breweries and she left me in 2018 lmao

Definitely would. You're always gonna have that 30-40% that are like hardcore against it because they're racist or xenophobic, but Americans acceptance of immigrants ebbs and flows over time and there's a big perception (misconception?) for a lot of people around the Mexican cartels and trafficking and etc. Making that not a problem anymore would be a help.

I def agree with the second part, but we'd have to get a president and a foreign policy we trust to do that with fidelity haha
Edit-Though I will admit that selfishly since I do live here, it is nice to be a "Destination country" that people want to come to, whether they're skilled or "unskilled" labor. We need those people, especially if all y'all aren't gonna start making babies!

We’ve been taking the baby out to restaurants and outdoor wine bars and whatnot because he just sits in his stroller snoozing, or just wants to be held up to look at everyone, and doesn’t make a sound. By the time he’s any sort of active we’ll stop doing that

I hate to admit it, but that logic kinda tracks - the person in charge of making the split-second decision whether or not to annihilate tens of millions of people in nuclear infernos should probably be able to handle paying off their mistress without getting caught

luckily Joe Biden has that kind of mental capacity for sure!
