Interesting about Recovery because outside of The Eminem Show, that was my favorite Em album…but I haven’t listened in probably a decade plus so I’m interested to see how it holds up now.

(I cannot imagine Relapse holding up any better - that album is trash)

 

Relapse definitely has a lot of shit on it and the awful accents but there's also some cool storytelling on that album which is my favourite kind of song from him. Plus I personally dig the horror/serial killer vibe.

Recovery is just so filled with dumb puns and that kind of angry half yell he started doing.

 

I don’t like either of them at all but I’ve always hated relapse. I loved recovery when it came out but none of it held up to me. Encore at least has toy soldiers, encore, and mockingbird on it. yellow brick road is solid too. Eminem show is almost wall to wall hits I’ve been listening to a lot of it lately

 

Encore was the first album I got into so I'll always have a soft spot for that one, even some of the dumb shit like Rain Man and My First Single is fun to me.

it started with a skit and after 4:57 i was waiting for a serious song to start.

 

I don't know... it worked for me. Clearly going for nostalgia for the TES era and it kinda hit that spot for me. Didn't expect you guys to like it though
