  2. I don't dislike "Sorrow Machine," but I agree that both songs sound very, very similar

Tickets on sale. Excited to go to the Brooklyn Paramount, the new venue in my neighborhood. But have no idea what the balcony is like and why it’s double the price of GA.

New songs are great. I think I like the Too Quick to Forgive songs more though.

frankly I dont think any of the new stuff tops the Slow Heart EP but still very grateful and happy that they're active and all these songs exist

We reach for the longest shadow

    I would say:
    Sorrow Machine
    Slowheart
    Too Quick to Forgive
    Cross to Bear

    But I love them all.

Bandcamp has the digital releasing on 8/25

If that's correct that's not too bad of a wait.

Both these songs sound like classic B&C, and that's not a bad thing at all. There's something about this voice that I love despite it being so monotone- there's so much melody to what at face value is a pretty bland style, and not very technically showy, but damn do their songs get stuck in my head. And the guitar is just so distinctly them, a sound truly of their own.

I think I like Cross to Bear more but that may be because I've given it more time. For those that say they're similar, I think that goes with the above. They do a unique sound, that really isn't that varied per album. Each album is a little different from the last, but I think all 3 albums have a sound that runs through them and it seems this will be the same.

I'm bummed I missed the last show here (conflict or I would have gone) and my city isn't on this new run. Maybe though later if the new album picks up.

Yeah - they did it. They managed to come back and blow the roof off the place with all these new songs. I just can't believe how special this band is. To think that we get more of this band is the best news for this place in a long time. Cross to bear is such a special song. Look at these last 4 songs they have released, this is the best work they have ever done.

We got to find a way to get this band to #1 on the charts somehow.

I’m not unconvinced you willed this band back into existence with sheer posting so you know what, yeah, let’s see em get that #1

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

my Beach Boys fanatic ass loves that they have a drummer named Dennis Wilson lol

Who used to be in Every Avenue, of all bands

EDIT: slightly more notable, was in Saves the Day for 7ish years.

    If you don't, don't

For real though that fade out at the end of Cross to Bear sounds like its about to go straight into I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew

savior mode is in my top 3 favorite balance songs of all time. fade and fame probably round that out.

Don't forget More to Me. Might be their best overall song, if that's even possible with this band.
