Has anyone seen them? Always have wanted to see but curious if it’s worth it…

 

So, I only know 5 Misfits songs, but I just watched them at Sonic Temple two weeks ago and I left after 15 minutes because they just sounded piss poor. Again, never been a HUGE Misfits fan, but I was left really disappointed going in blind.

 

My buddy’s favorite band is the misfits and he has seen them three times since the reunion. He even says “oh they are awful, but it’s the fucking misfits!”

 

If you like The Misfits you’ll appreciate it for what it is and have a blast even though they suck. If you’re not a fan of The Misfits you’ll absolutely hate it. With that being said I’ve seen them three times since the reunion and will gladly see them another three times.

 

I had fun when I saw them at Riot Fest 2022 and I've been wanting to see them since their 2016 reunion so I was really excited for it... but yeah, Danzig cant sing for his life.

 

time for artists to start just doing residencies in only la and ny and maybe somewhere in the middle of the us

Not to open a can of worms, but I seriously wondered with a friend if someone like a Taylor Swift camping at the football stadium in Vegas is any different (and possible better) than flying around the world + ticket prices that incentivize flying to Europe or buying super expensive tickets on resale closer to where you live.

 

Probably cuts down on travel costs which could, in theory, reduce ticket prices but there's no getting around the secondary market's existence unlocked that tickets have a true value often much higher than what they're priced at.

 

Went to the Amity Affliction tour last night, sold out 2500. Went mainly for Dying Wish and Mugshot. It’s amazing to watch almost an entire crowd go from having no idea who dying wish is to getting into them, then really into them in a span of 35 mins. They feel like the next heavy band to get really really big. That new album is just so good.

Ego is a hell of thing, even moreso when you have a famous actor in your band.

 

they get 2nd line billing at festivals and great playlist placement on streaming services, their team thinks that correlates into their demand on a nationwide headline tour and it does not. Same with Charli and Troye…they look right at home in the top 5-7 of their day at Coachella but drawing 8-10k people to an arena is a diff story.

 

I know someone who is a Stan for wallows and twenty one pilots and I am glad both tours aren’t selling well

Speaking of tours in trouble....how is this Cage The Elephant arena tour moving ahead? There are still non-platinum standard admission floor seats at MSG available which can't be a good sign.

 

Philly surprisingly looks ok at the moment. Is msg a lot higher of ticket price?

 

Station around Chicago posted that 3 new tours are will be announced tomorrow and 5 shows in total. It's an Octane like station so take it for what it is.

 

Anyone hear anything about The Academy Is?

Posted asking people's fav songs from Almost Here but then did the same for Santi so probably not an album tour. Engagement farming or ramping up to a tour announcement?

Apparently they were meant to do Chicago shows in Dec 2020 after doing Riot but the pandemic obviously cancelled that.

 

Seems to be doing just fine. LA and San Diego are pretty much sold out from what I saw

 

Mayhem fest should be one of them

 

Santa Barbara show is almost sold out too

 

That layout isn’t even a full arena. It’s barely 1/3 of one.

 

So general consensus I’ve heard from people about mayhem is it isn’t a full tour, it’s weekends in big cities in the fall? This about what everyone else has heard?

 

Frozen Soul and Denied got added to this is hardcore btw.
