Im reading she had a bigger crowd than all of the headliners.

I saw that captioned on TikTok. Not sure how true that is, haha. But yesterday was something like 3x as attended as Saturday of the festival. It was hard to navigate really anywhere from her set through to the end of the day.

My daughter was therer specifically for her, and she didnt disappoint. She also said the crowd was huge! More than any of the other stages, etc....

The newspaper said Sundays attendance was 40K for headliners compared to about 20K for the other days - true or not....

I haven’t had an artist immediately hit and become a favorite of mine since I stumbled on to Ghost. I couldn’t even tell you the venn diagram of Chappell Roan & Ghost fans haha.

So pumped to see Chappell at Bonnaroo in a week or so. Still think it’s going be a safety/crowding issue having her play a tent instead of one of the two big stages.

Only thing against her really is Milky Chance, her set is gonna be a mob scene.

I am also in this venn diagram. haha! and honestly feel the same way. Never even heard OF her until like 3 weeks ago when my niece told me to check her out, and I have legit not been able to listen to anything else since. haha! Sometimes I even try to force myself to listen to other things to cleanse the palate but she's like a magnet. So infectious and catchy and amazing.

    TL;DR
I'm right there with you. :crylaugh:

Finally listened to this on my drive home this past weekend. Overall I really liked it, I think she and Nigro have some great potential if they continue writing together. I'm not as big of a fan of the campier stuff like Femininomenon and Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl on first listen but I think it'll grow on me cause it definitely seems like she is going to keep doing stuff like that based on her persona/live show/etc.

There is some stuff that absolutely stands out though. I fucking love HOT TO GO!, and then songs like Red Wine Supernova, My Kink is Karma, and Casual, among others, are fantastic. Good Luck, Babe! is really great too. I'm going to be fascinated to see how she does perception and audience-wise whenever she releases her next album or EP because she has blown up in just a couple of months.

Made some fan art last month. After 2 weeks of discovery and obsession. Still can't put this album down. Gonna ruin my Spotify Wrapped in the best way after just one month of listening. haha!

Does anyone know exactly what happened that she’s suddenly everywhere? I’m happy about it but it’s been crazy to watch happen in real time.

Good Luck, Babe has been prominent at all the Pride celebrations I've been to so far this month.

    Love it! Love her! Werk!

Love this! My late sister was a big advocate to the Pride movement here in Utah before she passed away, and I'll never forget her getting my pop punk band to play the Pride Festival in like 07. We sucked so bad, and literally EVERYbody there was into it. haha. It was the best. So happy for Chappell!

This week her album moved up to the top 20 in the Billboard list at #16 and Good Luck, Babe! is now a Top 40 single. Just wild stuff.

Agree with this. In my mind that, combined with the release of Good Luck Babe just before, was the turning point. Of course all the pieces were in place for it, but that was the catalyst.
