I get that it's a big space, but I actually saw Saves The Day and Say Anything there several years ago and just remember it being a noisy mess. Not sure if it's the way it was mixed or if it's just the way that room handles sound but being on the floor was making me physically uncomfortable and it was only better on that balcony in the back. Not my favorite place.

 

Peeling Flesh was AWESOME on the Sanguisugabogg tour

 

I was trying so hard to find peeling fish in that giant blob but I think it’s just a giant blob

 

Hard to tell but they actually put the band's names in legible font in parentheses above their bullshit squiggles

 

I've seen them live 20+ times probably. They're a very consistent band and put on a good live show. I don't know if I'll go again this time, but if you've never seen them, I definitely recommend checking out this tour.

Me First & The Gimme Gimmes dates are rolling out. Assuming it’s a tour leading up to Bumbershoot. August 27th at the Glass House Pomona and August 30th at HOB Anaheim

I still don't really understand what happened with Mest other than Tony moved to California and the rest of them didn't. They had the whole lineup back together for a while and we're back to some other guys now.

Dying Fetus, Suicidal Tendencies, and Biohazard all signed on to be a triple headliner on summer slaughter this year but once they gave them the timeframe they all couldn’t do all the dates due to other commitments. So they blew the whole thing up and decided to do a younger tour that was a bunch of up and comers. Hence how you ended up with what we have now.

 

I feel like there's a compromise between that and shitting out a Veil of Maya headliner. But that just strikes me as fan service from Ash considering Suicidal and Biohazard would be way out of left field headliners considering Summer Slaughter is a death metal/deathcore tour historically.

 

he also said he then asked Job For A Cowboy and they said they aren’t touring. Suicide Silence also wasn’t available for the timeframe.

 

Holy wow, this is going to be a fun one! Between this and Frank Turner, Boston Calling brought some fun small venue shoes this year… Kinda glad I already have tickets to Crime in Stereo/Spaced on Saturday so I can avoid the stress of trying to get tickets to this.
