As a recovering JRE listener, covid absolutely broke this guy's brain. He was a knuckle-dragging neanderthal before the pandemic, and it got so much worse starting around 2020. He ran full-throttle with the antivax/mask/lockdown stuff and made it a sticking point to where he'd bitch about the topic for 20 minutes on every episode and bring on guests who would also bitch about it. or worse, he'd have actual knowledgeable guests like one of the world's foremost immunologists on to talk about it but then he'd say shit like 'if you get in the sauna it will melt covid away.'

it's like, go back to Fear Factor dude. it's schtick is tiresome

 

Flats are absolutely better than drums no argument

And subtitles are great, if you don't want them, don't use them.

It's all fairly simple.

 

Decided my throw and chill show right now is gonna be it’s always sunny, I’ve really seen very little of the show since like 2015 so it’ll be nice to finally catch up too but yeah I love this show lol

 

it's so good, consistently

 

Sunny is one of the best comedy shows.

 

we throw it on every now and then when we want something in the background while focusing on low-key activities. it's amazing to see them consistently hit such a high bar.

 

Love background shows. Sunny is my bfs favorite. I usually do Seinfeld but lately we've been having psych on in the background too. I was never rly a background show person but my bf has tinnitus and says it helps to have something on and not just quiet which was very foreign to me until we started dating.

 

Crazy that 15 years ago Sunny was basically seen as this kind of niche cult show for college kids, but now that millennials that watched it in their teens and 20's are pushing 40 it's starting to be accepted as one of few greatest live action sitcoms of all time.

 

I randomly started season 7 of Sunny last night. It might be my favorite one.

 

Need to watch all of sunny. Making my way through all of curb now cause I’ve only seen some of it. On season 4 and so far Seinfeld blows it out of the water.

 

I watched all of seinfeld like ten times between 2022 to this year because I always had it on lol

anyone here subscribe to Dropout? is it worth it? i know people love Dimension 20 (even though i know little to nothing about D&D(, but i always see clips of their other shows (like Um, Actually and Game Changer) all the time and they look pretty fun.

 

This looks fun. I like Dakota Johnson and Sonoya Mizuno.

We legit just finished a first watch through of Always Sunny over the weekend and it was so worth it. Probably the most consistent comedy show out there.

 

Anyone else watching Under the Bridge? Really great example of the benefit of casting actual teenagers instead of early 20-somethings. I don’t think they get the gravity across as well without you seeing how young everyone involved is

 

Currently in the middle of it. The dialogue and acting (not from the two excellent leads) are a little hokey, a little on-the-nose, but I've also enjoyed a fair amount of it.

 

Shout out to all of you that recommended Constellation, that was a really fun watch, very much Dark/LOST/Fringe vibes. Bummer it got cancelled

ABC News produced doc about the Brat Pack directed by former Brat Pack member Andrew McCarthy coming to Hulu 6/13.

Judging from the trailer it looks like Molly probably turned them down. Doesn't look like Anthony Michael Hall is in this either.

 

I thought it started strong and kinda fizzled out at the end.

 

Funny, I thought the opposite haha. I'm a big fan of confusing and detailed sci fi like that which makes you want to go back and rewatch everything
