All day I was thinking it was Wednesday and wondering why all these leaks were happening and not the actual release. Unreal.

 

Yes my favorite open mic in Baltimore and my favorite open mic in DC are both on Tuesday and have house kits and amps. The Baltimore one is the one that votes you onto a showcase. I was at the DC one tonight. Several open mics in the area will let you at least bring band gear

 

The venue in DC is actually just one room of a building / organization called 7drum city that also hosts lessons and rents practice rooms

Drummer of my band is a drum lessons teacher there, we met at the Tuesday open mic actually. Since he and the bassist live in DC we have a compromise where I’ll come down to 7DrumCity and practice with them on some Tuesdays and then we play the open mic, since he works there we get the rooms free some hours and still cheap during busy hours.

Other weeks I stay home in Baltimore and hit the Baltimore open mic solo, but when I’ve gotten voted onto the showcase the drummer came and the bassist came up for the last two showcases.

And then once in awhile they’ll come stay the night in Baltimore on a weekend and we’ll have an extended practice we don’t have to pay hourly for at my practice space up here, this is when we’ll typically stay up late and order pizza and flesh out new songs and discuss band business outside of the songs. Whereas when we have an hourly limit we use that time to review and refine stuff we’ve already pre-written, cause that’s easier to just work on each song for 20-30 minutes and then move on.

the way he’s laughing and saying I KNOW… I know… is actually fucking hilarious to me lol cause it literally is just like “oh well” and makes me accept it more. He doesn’t need to deny it, Pats still came back and it’s not gonna change their legacy that they got a favorable call in a game they were still losing by two scores lol. Jags STILL should’ve won if they really deserved the W, game wasn’t decided on that call. I think if anything it gives me closure on taking that L that at least Brady himself admits that huge call was some bullshit lol

 

Milo has been waking up frantic in the middle of the night the last few nights. Not sure why. Feel bad for the little dude. Also feel sleepy. But Bad Batch is pretty good at least.
