• Casa Yari - Really good Puerto Rican/Latin American food. Really recommend the Pastelon
• The Chicago Diner - A vegetarian/vegan diner that does a lot of the classics of diner food just plant based. The portabella truffle melt is insane
• Bloom Plant Based Kitchen - Another vegetarian/vegan place but you wouldn't really know it. Does a lot with jackfruit
• Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! - Reeeeeeeeeally good tapas place. Great for trying and sharing a lot of different dishes
• Revival Food Hall - Your typical food hall, plenty of options for everyone
• Portillo's - No explanation needed

Attractions:

• Lincoln Park Zoo - Completely free!
• Navy Pier - Cool to walk around, lots of stuff to see. When we were there a free concert was happening
• Field Museum/Shedd Aquarium - If you could only do one, I'd say Field Museum
• Garden of the Phoenix - Small Japanese garden near the Museum of Science and Industry on the south-side, very relaxing and free
• The architecture tour is super cool if you're into that. You take a guided ferry tour through the Chicago river
• Walking along Lake Michigan via the Lakefront trail is cool. We picked it up near Lincoln Park

The L is great and will get you all around the city
