The reddit board is hilarious between people saying the shows are amazing and others saying that Max is a total mess.

I'm guessing that it's mostly a crowd singalong and probably a good time if you don't care about all this drama.

The bitch thing is always inappropriate, especially in front of people who don't know the context of his family, but the context of the relationship he has with his daughter matters as to whether it's some kind of terrible teasing/family humor or downright abuse. We don't know the power complex scenario there. Severely not a fan of hearing this though. I absolutely don't know anything about any music artists families that I follow, I mostly don't want to, Max just puts everything on display.

It's nuanced because obviously there are real issues with Max, but at the same time I feel like the reddit "fans" are just addicted to pushing on a bruise at this point.

Seeing a lot of "look he's not even singing!" evidenced by completely normal concert clips

I know someone that's abandoning their tickets because they heard on reddit it's not worth going. And they love the band. Just bizarre

I mean maybe don’t continuously be a horrible human being if you don’t want fans to “press on a bruise”. Like I’ve said many times before, Max is in no shape to have the platform he has and should not be touring in any capacity. I don’t think it’s bizarre for fans to be very skeptical given the amount of public info there is out there. This isn’t even mentioning how awful their new music is lol

  8. Starting to feel a bit like Reddit in here, lol. I get the animosity, I really do, but if I'm ever actively seeking out reasons to post angrily and speculate about a 40-year-old emo singer, probably time to take me out back

I'm commenting on the obsession, not healthy skepticism. Digging for clips to prove they don't sound good (who cares?), DMing questions to random show attendees, reading into the body language of the band members??, speculating on all sorts of shit especially about the lives of children we don't know.

    It's off the rails, sorry

Nah, fuck Max and fuck the band.

It just doesn't need to be harped on at this point.

to be fair he doesn't go to a lot of concerts and mainly listens to nerdcore..

  15. Absolutely no way Greet Death had the worst set of the night, they're the main reason I'd even consider attending one of these shows

I also refuse to believe AJJ are ever “meh.” Weird tour for them though.

My wife homeschools our kids (preschool and first grade). While I can appreciate some of the opinions in the thread, many are very off base.

It’s not necessarily homeschooling I have an issue with, it’s the unschooling and having zero structure for your children that I have an issue with. I definitely think homeschooling can be beneficial if done correctly for certain kids. I’ve definitely considered it for my daughter because she is neurodivergent and public school sucks for her.

However allowing your kids to do whatever they want, whenever they want does not prepare them for the future. Kids need structure to develop mentally/emotionally and that is obviously not happening here.

100%! my older boy is neurodivergent as well and the “help” he was receiving from school was a complete joke! That was what triggered the homeschooling in our house.

I also agree that unschooling in the way that the Bemis family is portraying it could be extremely detrimental to a kids development.

    Homeschooling depends on the homeschooler.

Usually the motivations matter and if they're because you have a neurodivergent child that isn't being understood at school or a parent that is equipped to homeschool or schooling pods along with the children being in outside school activities that are effective that can be wonderful.

Too many times it's a religious reason or antigovernment or just don't value education reason though, that's not good.

    Like all things. It depends.

My parents met a family at church who homeschooled their kids. They were around our ages (we were all still really young), so we went to their house to swim and hang out.

It was super awkward. They were just.. mega Catholic, the kids didn't know anything that was popular for kids at the time so it was hard to strike up a conversation. I tried bringing up Pokemon and Beyblades and this kid had never heard of either.

My parents later had a falling out with them because the grandmother was super judgemental in the church and would do a lot of manipulative shit. She tried to get our new, awesome priest fired by writing an anonymous letter because he was silly and fun and not old, strict, and boring. He called her out for it in the homily, it was so funny.

My one friend was home schooled and she’s relatively normal. Another friend was with very religious parents and she’s completely fucked up and has a lot of issues.

    Things have changed.

Yeah they're absolutely not homeschooling their kids. They're letting their kids sit on iPads all day rotting their brains and hang out in rock clubs.

  24. I can't stress enough how weird I would feel talking about a stranger's kids on the internet. That's not a defense of them or unschooling as a practice. But I literally do not know what their day-to-day lives look like and I do not understand the purpose of weighing in or speculating on something you couldn't be further from
