made it to chapter 3 of Dave the Diver and I’m starting to think I should slow down on the story and actually explore everything lol.

 

I think I am on the record that I am jonesing pretty hard for Stellar Blade but a PS5 isn't in the budget atm haha

at this point I feel like everyone has a different set of things that's important for them in a soulslike and for me LOTF scratched that itch a lot more than Lies of P did. My friend who finished both also vastly prefers LOTF but also loved Lies of P and keeps sending me screenshots of his cool long grey haired pinocchio,

 

One thing I really like about Stellar Blade is how much more open the world is compared to like Lies of P and LOTF. The first "level" doesn't have much but once you get to the city, you have the freedom to just go explore. Like i finished the main mission for the moment in the first big open area (I don't know if there are others tho tbh) and I'm just now wandering around finding little upgrades and whatnot.

 

It's getting compared to Sekiro a lot cuz of the parry mechanics but mechanics of the game (including the way the world is built) really makes me think Jedi Survivor more than anything

 

Yeah, I can see that. Sekiro also is a good comparison since you don't change your weapon.

Do you get any sort of upgrade or anything to your jump/dash abilities? I've seen some trunks in the Wasteland I can't get to yet and I'm just not sure if my approach isn't right or if I need an upgrade I'm not aware exists.

 

I'm not too far, I have gotten an upgrade to my jump though but it's possible that it's related to an item in the environment as well

OK cool, thanks! I do feel it's just not being able to jump high enough or dash far enough for the couple of items i haven't been able to reach.

 

Owning a lotta devices when you're upkeeping a PC is expensive for sure haha

 

I owned one when Returnal came out OBVIOUSLY lol

I bought an apartment in THIS economy, that's what's really fucking me here. my PC barely makes a dent. My notary fees alone would cover 2 4090s.

 

I understand, I bought my house a couple years ago and it was not a good time to be buying a house

 

also, I'll say this, that's neither here nor there, but when I play a lot of controller based games, I wake up with my hands numb every night, and it's especially bad with the DualSense, so at my age it's best to just stick with what doesn't hurt (mouse and keyboard)

I own a PS5 and don’t use it a ton except for exclusives or if my kids all want to play Fortnite together. At this point it’s pretty much a Returnal machine. At some point I’ll get Stellar Blade.

I think I’m gonna grab a PS5 Pro or whatever when it comes out. I’m on a huge 3D platformer kick and really wanna play the last two Ratchet games, Sackboy, and Astro’s Playroom lol

Will likely finally try the Horizon games, Kena, and FFVII remake too

Stellar Blade is too good and when I'm not playing Stellar Blade I just wanna PokeMMO or Balatro

 

Yeah, fantastic game. Looking forward to playing it again on the Xbox.

 

My hands react badly to the Switch joycons when it's handheld (which is why I got one of those other setups)

 

I also want a PS5 and PS+ cause I’ve somehow never played any of the Sly Cooper or Jak games and feel like I need to lol

 

I tend to sleep with my hands on my chest (above my heart) and they tend to go numb because of it

 

You may want to see someone about that or not do it.
