phew the first Pokémon I ran into in my fire red playthrough was a pikachu let’s goooo

 

BL3 dlc Guns Love and Tentacles finished, was really good! And I'm not just saying that because I got to see two male characters get married to each other. But yes, that's certainly a big part of its charm. Overall story was nice, had some emotional depth to it tho i didn't appreciate the Deathtrap fakeout. also as much as I love Gaige's presence in this, most of the time adding some light to a pretty bleak plot, it seems like her character arc in between games took a kinda sad trajectory which i don't really like. The whole Cthulu influence on the whole thing is really cool, got some enemies and maps with pretty neat designs.

 

OH YEAH, i looked at what was in the accessibility settings and laughed so hard at "give Kril a gun"

 

Give me all the 3D platformers

(even if you say it in jest) it's fun.

 

The first game is one of my favourites and it got panned pretty hard when it came out for not being a real game. The 'fun' of it is slowly exploring the ocean and finding fish that you havent seen before. I dont know if this new one is actually good or not, but reading that IGN review, most of the bad things he mentions could apply to the first game as well.

Also, I definitely understand how trying to beat this game in time for a review could lead to a pretty abysmal experience, especially if you dont really appreciate it on a base level.

 

I am really, really excited for this one, though I don't expect it anytime soon on consoles. If anyone has anything I missed regarding a release window let me know.
